Sometimes the person who owns an account is not a member of your workspace: a client, a colleague at another company, an agency. Our team creates a connect link for them. They open it, sign in on the network and the account appears in your workspace. You do not need to share any password.
What the account owner sees
- They open the link and see the page Connect an account. It names your workspace and says it asks them to connect an account. It also shows its label and the day it expires, and who sent it.
- Under Accounts, each network the link offers has a Connect button. They press it and sign in on the network's own page.
- If the network finds several accounts, they choose which to connect and press Connect accounts.
- The page confirms the connection and lists the account as Connected. They can press Connect another account for the next network, or close the page.
If the link has expired, was revoked or is already fully used, the page says so and tells them to ask for a new link. Each network on a link can be connected once.
What you see in your workspace
The new account is added to Accounts. Open it and Connected by reads A client, through a connect link. Then set its Content language, as in Connect a Facebook Page and Connect an Instagram account.
Good to know
- Only our team creates and revokes connect links. You do not see Connect links in Accounts, and you cannot create one yourself.
- Anyone who has the link can connect accounts to your workspace until it expires, so send it only to the person who owns the account.
- Accounts added through a link count toward the number of accounts your workspace may connect.
- If you can sign in to the account yourself, connecting it directly is quicker.
Ask us
- Open Help and feedback: the chat icon at the foot of the launcher in the app or in the console, or the Help and feedback row on your Profile.
- Choose Ask a question and write that you need a connect link.
- Tell us which networks the owner will connect, and who the owner is, so we can label the link for them.
- We create the link and send it to you to pass on.
