When a post uses media that AI made or edited, Geminel can add a short line to the caption when it publishes, so your audience knows. You choose the default for the whole workspace, and you can change it for one post.
Set the default for your workspace
- Open the launcher, press Settings, then Workspace.
- Under Publishing, find Label AI content when publishing. It is on by default, and posts with AI media start labelled.
- To turn it off, switch it off and confirm Turn it off on the question Turn the AI label off?. To turn it back on, switch it on.
You see AI label is on or AI label is off when it is saved.
Change it for one post
- Open the post and go to Where this goes. On a video, the review screen has the same switch.
- Switch Label as made with AI on or off.
On a video, a note above the switch says Contains AI-generated media or Contains AI-edited images. The switch is greyed out when the media comes from a provider that requires the label (the switch says Required by the video provider), when the post can no longer be edited (it then says Unschedule the post to change the label.), or when the post has no destination yet (Add a destination first.).
What your audience sees
At the moment of publishing, Geminel adds a line at the end of the caption: "Made with the help of AI." in English, or "Realizat cu ajutorul AI." in Romanian, in the language of the post. It is not stored in your caption, so you do not see it while editing. If the caption is too long for the network, Geminel shortens the caption, never the line. Instagram stories carry no caption, so no line is added to them.
Good to know
- Turning the label off is your decision. The question warns that platforms may still require a label on realistic generated people or events, and that EU rules ask for one on deepfake-like content. With the label off, your workspace is responsible for disclosure.
- Changing the default does not change a post where someone already chose.
- The rest of Workspace is set by our team. The AI label switch is for the people who approve posts; if it is greyed out for you, ask a workspace owner.
- To see where each post goes, read Choose where a post goes. To publish, see Approve, schedule and publish.
- If you don't see this switch, ask us with Help and feedback.
