How Geminel works: workspaces, the app and the console

Geminel has a console for your account and an app for each workspace. See what lives where and how to move between them.

Geminel is two places that work together: the console, where you manage your account, and the app, where you create and publish for one workspace. Your account is the same in both.

What a workspace is

A workspace holds one brand: its accounts, content and members. Everything you do in the app happens inside one workspace, and you can belong to several.

Every workspace has an owner and a payer. They can be the same person. Your part in each workspace shows on your Profile as Owner, Payer, Owner, payer or Member. What a workspace uses is paid from its payer's credits: see Credits.

The console

You sign in to the console first. Its dock has Home, Credits, Billing and Profile.

  • Home shows your workspace, with Open workspace as the main button. New workspace creates another one.
  • Under each workspace, Members shows who belongs to it.
  • Credits is your balance and what it paid for.
  • Profile is your details and sign-in settings: see Sign in, your profile and your language.

The app

  1. In the console, press Open workspace.
  2. The app opens on that workspace's Home.
  3. Use the dock at the bottom of the screen for Home, Posts, Calendar and Inbox. Everything else is in the launcher: see Find your way.

In the app you plan and create posts, connect your accounts, approve and publish, and answer comments and messages.

Moving between them

  • Open the launcher and press its first row, which shows your workspace name and Switch workspace or go to the console. Pick another workspace from the list, or press Geminel console to go back to the console.
  • Your name at the bottom of the launcher opens your Profile in the console.

Good to know

  • If Open workspace is switched off, the line under it says why.
  • Your workspace may not have every feature a guide describes. If you don't see something, ask us with Help and feedback.
