Inspiration and the weekly ideas

See what your ideas team found to write about, plan an idea from it, and let Autopilot draft a plan for you every week.

Inspiration is the list of things your ideas team found that a post could start from. Autopilot asks the team for a plan once a week. Both sit beside the Planner, and neither publishes anything.

Look through inspiration

  1. Open Planner.
  2. Open the menu at the top (More actions for the planner) and choose Inspiration.
  3. Read the cards. They are grouped under titles such as Trends, News, Occasions and events, Competitors, Questions from your audience, From your knowledge base and From your past posts. Only groups with something in them appear. When there are several, chips at the top filter them.
  4. A card shows the dates it matters, how many ideas used it, Until the day it expires, a line starting For you: on why it fits your business, and links to its sources. More opens a long text.
  5. To see cards you set aside, open the menu and choose Show dismissed.

Plan an idea from a card

  1. Press Plan from this on a card. A cost may show beside it.
  2. Geminel writes one idea. Press See the plan to follow it. The idea goes into your newest upcoming plan that is still Proposed, if it has room. Otherwise it gets a plan of its own.
  3. Review the idea as in Get ideas and plan your week.

Dismiss stops a card from seeding ideas. A card marked Handle with care only seeds helpful, non-promotional ideas. One marked Sensitive, not used is never used, and Plan from this is off for it.

Let Autopilot plan every week

  1. In the Planner, choose Autopilot… in the menu. You can also press the Autopilot chip, On or Off, in the plan's details.
  2. Turn on Plan ideas for me every week. It plans ideas for the next Monday to Sunday.
  3. Choose the Day and the Time. They are in your workspace time zone.
  4. Turn Web research on or off. On, your team looks at trends, news, local events and competitors from Google Search. Off, Inspiration says they are not searched.
  5. Move Experiments to set how many ideas try angles and hooks you have not used yet.
  6. Press Save. The sheet then shows Next plan and Last plan.

Autopilot only proposes. Its plans wait in the Planner for you to approve, and the plan says that Autopilot planned the week.

Good to know

  • Only someone who can approve posts can plan from a card, dismiss one or change Autopilot. Others can read.
  • If a switch says Turned off by Geminel, that feature is off for your workspace. Ask us with Help and feedback.
  • An empty list is normal at first. Your scouts look each time the planner drafts a plan, in your knowledge base, your past posts and your audience's questions.
  • Ideas you approve become draft posts, and their time shows in the calendar.
  • What your scouts read from your own material comes from your knowledge base.
