You can search and filter your media library yourself. The categories, folders, tags and the "use in videos" settings are kept by our team. This guide shows what you can do, and how to ask us for the rest.
Find a file
- Open the launcher and press Media.
- Type in Search name or tag. The search also finds words spoken in a file, once it has a transcript. Such a tile shows Said at and the sentence.
- Narrow the view with Filter by type: All, Video, Image or Audio.
- In the list on the left, pick All media, a category, or a folder inside it. On a phone, press the filter button to open Filter media.
- Use the clips under Analysis, Use and Use in videos to narrow it further. For example, Never used shows files that no post has used yet.
Press a tile to open the file. There you see What Geminel sees, its tags, its category and, under In your videos, Where used.
What the labels mean
- Reusable: the file can go into any video.
- Single video: the file is kept for the one video it was made for. Needs a post (under Use) lists those that are not yet tied to a post.
- Must appear: the video editor has to place the file in the videos it is meant for.
- Analysed, Analysing, Not analysed, Failed: whether Geminel has looked at the file.
What our team handles
Creating categories and folders, changing a file's category, folder, tags or use in videos, Must appear, Analyse again and Analyse all are done by our team. You see these controls turned off, with a note that only a general admin or manager can change them.
Good to know
- You can still upload and delete files yourself: see Add photos and videos to the library.
- Categories and folders belong to the workspace, so everyone in it sees the ones we make.
- If a file shows Failed, ask us to run its analysis again.
Ask us
- Open Help and feedback: the chat icon at the foot of the launcher in the app or in the console, or the Help and feedback row on your Profile.
- Choose Ask a question and write what you need, for example a new category, a folder, tags on some files, or a file set as Must appear.
- Name the files by their file names, and the category or folder you want.
- We make the change and tell you when it is done.
If you don't see Help and feedback, tell us in the way you usually reach us.
