Check the voice and choose voices

Listen to every line of a narrated video, voice a line again or change the voice, and set the voices your workspace uses.

After you approve the script of a narrated video, Geminel voices every line. On the Voice step you listen to the lines, fix any you don't like and approve the voice. A video made From your footage has no Voice step.

Check the voice

  1. Open Check the voice. A message tells you how many lines are ready. You can listen to each line as it arrives.
  2. Press the play button beside a line, or Play all lines at the top.
  3. Press a line to open its beat. Under Takes you see each reading, with In use on the one the video will use. Before you approve, press Use this take to go back to an earlier one.
  4. To get another reading, open the menu beside the line and choose Voice it again. To change the words, choose Edit the line, edit the Spoken line and press Voice the new line. Earlier takes are kept.
  5. A line can show Out of date, Over (longer than planned), Failed or Not voiced yet. For out-of-date lines, use Voice the out-of-date lines in the top menu.
  6. When every line is ready, press Approve the voice. The editor then assembles the video.

Change the voice

  1. Press Change beside the voice.
  2. Pick one. Workspace default is first, then Geminel voices, Voice Library and Your ElevenLabs. Press play to hear a sample, or type a sentence under Try my line.
  3. Press Choose this voice, then confirm with Change the voice.

Every line is voiced again in the new voice. Once the video has been assembled, the confirmation button reads Change and rebuild: the video is edited and made again, and edits you made by hand are lost.

Each voice shows how it is billed: Billed as Voice-over, or On your ElevenLabs plan for voices of your own ElevenLabs account. See Credits: paying as you go.

Choose the voices your workspace uses

  1. Open Settings, then Voices.
  2. Under Default voices, press a language, pick a voice or Follow the default, and press Save default voice. This voice is used when nobody picks one for a video.
  3. To add a voice, press Add, choose Voice Library or Your ElevenLabs, and press Add beside a voice. It then shows Added and appears under Workspace voices.
  4. In Workspace voices, the menu of a voice has Adjust and Remove. Videos already made keep their voice-over.
  5. To use voices of your own ElevenLabs account, press Connect under Your ElevenLabs account and paste the key.

Good to know

  • Your video's voice stays the same for every line. Choosing another one voices them all again.
  • Spoken previews can be limited each day. Stored samples always play.
  • If you don't see Add, Voice Library or Connect, ask us with Help and feedback: they are switched on per workspace.
