On this page

Geminel can answer comments and direct messages by rule, and greet people. Our team sets the rules up with you. You see what runs and you decide on the replies that wait for you.

See what runs

  1. Open the launcher and press Engagement, under Engage.
  2. The top row says Automation is on or Automation is off. While it is off, no rule runs.
  3. The tiles show Pending review, Sent today, Last 7 days and Daily limit per account.
  4. Below, the rules are listed. Press Comments, DMs or Followers to show one kind. Each rule shows what it answers, whether it is an AI reply or a Template, and whether it shows Sends automatically or Review first. A rule that is switched off shows Off.

You can read all of this, but not change it: the screen shows Read-only.

Approve a reply that waits for you

A reply waits for you when its rule says Review first, or when Geminel stops before sending. Complaints and leads always wait for a person.

  1. In Engagement, press Activity. When replies wait for you, a row at the top of the Inbox opens Engagement.
  2. Pending review is selected. Each item shows the message received, the reply drafted for it and, usually, why it waits, for example Sensitive intent — needs a human.
  3. Press Approve to send it, or Reject to drop it.
  4. To change the text first, press Edit. In Review reply, correct Reply to send and press Approve & send.

After you approve, you see Reply approved. It is queued for sending. All shows every run, and the filter button narrows them by outcome and kind.

If a direct message is too old, the network no longer accepts a reply and Geminel tells you. Answer from the network's own inbox.

Good to know

  • If you don't see Approve, Edit and Reject, your role or your access to comments and direct messages does not allow deciding.
  • Networks rarely report new followers, so a welcome message usually answers the first message a person sends you.
  • To decide where Geminel always stops for you, see Autonomy: where Geminel stops for you.
  • To answer one conversation yourself, see Answer comments and messages.
  • If you don't see Engagement, ask us with Help and feedback.

Ask us

Our team creates and changes the rules, the settings and the reply templates. You do not see these controls.

  1. Open Help and feedback: the chat icon at the foot of the launcher in the app or in the console, or the Help and feedback row on your Profile.
  2. Choose Ask a question and say what you want: which account, comments, direct messages or new followers, and what the reply should say.
  3. Tell us whether replies should wait for your review or go out on their own.
  4. We set it up with you.

If you don't see Help and feedback, tell us in the way you usually reach us.
