You buy credits with a bank card. You pay on the page of maib, our card payment partner, and the credits reach your balance when the payment is confirmed.
Top up
- Press Credits in the console dock.
- Press Top up, under your balance.
- If you have not saved your billing details yet, Top up: your billing details opens first, marked "Step 1 of 2". Fill them in and press Save and continue. Your receipts are billed to these details.
- In Top up credits, choose one of the preset amounts, or choose Custom and type an amount in Custom amount. Under Custom amount, the sheet states the smallest and the largest amount you can enter.
- Check the lines below: Credits is what you receive, VAT is shown only when it applies to your billing country, and Total to pay is what the card is charged. VAT is not credit.
- If you see Pay with, choose your saved card, or New card on the maib page. With a saved card, maib asks only for the card's security code. With a new card, you can tick the box to save it for faster top-ups.
- Tick I accept the Terms and Conditions and the Refund policy. You cannot pay until you do.
- Press the button that starts with Pay and shows the total. The maib page opens in the same tab. Enter your card details there.
- You return to Credits and see Payment received. The credits can take a minute to show.
If the payment fails, you see The payment didn't go through. No credits were added. Nothing is added to your balance, and you can start again.
Find your receipt
Open the Top-ups list: on a wide screen it is a tab of the Activity pane beside your balance, on a phone it is the Top-ups row. A paid top-up shows Paid. Press Receipt to open it. Other states are Pending, Failed, Expired and Under review. The same top-up also appears in Credit history.
Good to know
- Only the person who pays for a workspace can top up. If a workspace is paid by someone else, ask its payer: see Owner and payer. When Top up is off, the line under it says why.
- If Geminel asks you to confirm your email first, see Confirm your email.
- Granted credits are used before the credits you buy. How credits are spent is in Credits: paying as you go.
- A saved card is kept by maib. Geminel keeps only its masked number. Open it under Payment cards on Credits to remove it. Saving a new card at a top-up replaces it.
- Prices and what a credit buys are on Pricing.
- If you don't see Pay with or Payment cards, saving cards is not on for you yet: ask us with Help and feedback, see Get help.
